Fluently bilingual, she actually earned a Bachelor in Law and then pursued her studies in the field of communications where she obtained a certificate in public relations. Lydia launched her career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, serving pharmacists, wholesalers and consumers. This experience allowed her to get very familiar with the challenges and issues of the pharmaceutical industry.
She then worked in a communications at Groupe 2000 neuf, a PR firm specializing in the health sector, where she collaborated on several projects including the organization of the first Forum de la Coalition Priorité Cancer.
Lydia then held the positions of consultant and senior consultant at a leading Quebec PR agency for over 4 years, where she developed communication strategies for national accounts in the health and consumer industries (Boehringer Ingelheim, Altana, McNeil, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and GlaxoSmithKline), financial services (MasterCard Canada) and professional services (ADP Canada).
