Alyssa Schwartz is an award-winning health and lifestyle writer and editor, and digital content strategist. A writer for such publications as The Globe and Mail, O Magazine and National Post as well as a strategic consultant, Alyssa brings a multifaceted perspective that addresses the needs of various stakeholder and audience types. She has worked with numerous brands and institutions, including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and the University of Waterloo Faculty of Engineering Department of Civil Engineering, to design and execute communications strategies.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Alyssa was on staff with a number of major Canadian media brands. At the helm of MSN.ca’s women’s verticals (health, lifestyle, and travel), Alyssa developed integrated content campaigns such as the year-long Special K Better Body Boot Camp and a Parents’ Summer Survival Guide for Huggies.

With a natural interest in health and food (her mother is a registered dietitian and father is a doctor), Alyssa’s previous experience includes managing the health verticals at Canada.com and MSN.ca. She also led the launch of the Best Health magazine website and Best Health blog at Readers Digest. She is a regular contributor for Diabetes Canada and Heart and Stroke.
